Samartha Prusty and Asif Haque justified their reputation as the top two paddlers of of the state, bagging a double each in the 7th KDTTA All-Odisha Ranking Table Tennis Championship, which concluded at Saheed Nagar Table Tennis Hall here today.
Local favourite Samartha emerged champion in junior girls and women singles categories, while Asif of Cuttack won the two titles in junior and youth boys singles. Saloni Pattnaik, B Raju, Anjali Agrawal, Satya Sundar Bhuyan and Pritam Bose grabbed the other five titles of the three-day championship, which was organised by Khurda District Table Tennis Association.
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Odisha head Dandu Meher gave away the trophies in the presence of Odisha State Table Tennis Association secretary R K Parida, host KDTTA president Loknath Samal and secretary Smruti Ranjan Das.

Cadet girls: Saloni Pattnaik (Khurda) bt Payal Pani (Khurda) 11-8, 16-14, 11-6. Cadet boys: B Raju (Cuttack) bt Tatwesh Mishra (Khurda) 9-11, 11-4, 10-12, 11-5, 11-4. Sub-junior girls: Anjali Agrawal (Bhubaneswar) bt Ankita Senapati (Bhubaneswar) 11-6, 11-3, 11-2, 11-7. Sub-junior boys: Satya Sundar Bhuyan (Khurda) bt K Kartik (Cuttack) 11-6, 14-12, 7-11, 9-11, 13-11, 11-9. Junior girls: Samartha Prusty bt Anjali Agrawal 13-11, 13-11, 11-8, 11-6. Junior boys: Asif Haque bt Bikash Singh (RSP) 12-10, 12-10, 11-4, 11-3. Youth boys: Asif Haque bt Bikash Singh 11-7, 11-7, 11-5, 12-10. Women: Samartha Prusty bt Soumya Gayatri Tripathy (Khurda) in round-robin league. Men: Pritam Bose (ECoR) bt Kallol Ganguly (AG Odisha) 11-9, 11-7, 11-5, 12-10.
